All art is about connection. From music, dance, and acting through painting, sculpture, and architecture, we want to be moved, shaken up, made to think—and in the process connect more deeply with ourselves and with those around us. Writing about the arts serves to analyze, reflect, even deepen this process.

And such a profoundly human activity is far too valuable to be entrusted to large language models or generative pre-trained transformers. Translating or editing even the shortest art description—let alone a monograph or dissertation—requires human skill and feeling.

As a translator and writer, I have contributed unique, tailor-made texts to CD liners, press kits, and exhibition catalogues. I have also provided editing services for academic and artistic texts published on museum plaques, artist websites, and in academic journals and program booklets.
